My name is and am researching the COPE Family of West Texas. I have found very little on a Tom ? COPE who was a brother to my grandfather William Edgar COPE in Pecos County. My family record state that he died in Rankin Tx but do not have a date. I know that Tom was Commissioner of Precint 4 in Pecos County from 1908-1924. He was married to a Maggie Valentine and had a daughter Ernestine and 3 sons: Jack, Willard, and Jesse.

I'm trying to find some information on a Henry Moore. He lived in Reagan County (the town was Big Lake, TX) He was born in 1/28/1905 and deceased April 1981. I'm trying to find out if there is any probate information on him or possibly get information on his heirs. Any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

During the early 1930's when Big Lake and Texon were oil booming, MANY of my Eastland Co. relatives pulled up stakes to work in Reagan county. Does anyone know of archives for the Big Lake Oil Company or Marathon Oil company. I have some early photos of the camp houses and a few of the relatives who worked there.
